In May, we welcomed Elmer Day: activities were set up upstairs in our children's books and gifts area, including colouring and puzzles, face painting and story times!
Stickers were in abundance and all the children really loved their crazy, colourful time with us.

The Where's Wally? High Street Hunt proved a great way to celebrate Independent Bookshop Week: for a week independent shops on our high street hid a 'Wally' in their windows and we invited children to find them all in hopes of being entered into the 'Grand Prize Drawer'.
Don't worry, every one who took part won Where's Wally? stickers and an activity poster and were bubbling with excitement at having completed the hunt!
Of course, our little shop is brimming with Where's Wally? books, so pop in and start your very own hunt!
Finally today, as I write this, we are taking part in David Walliams Week at the bookshop. 10 activities have been set up, including keepy-uppies a la 'Boy in the Dress' and a hunt for the Crown Jewels around the shop as featured in Gangsta Granny!
